Subversion, these days, often takes the shape of some utterly cringe-making, devoid of meaning performance that is nevertheless followed, and even acclaimed, by the many -always too many- accomplices of the farce. It’s all too easy to write endless footnotes of intricate language to try to provide a so-called brainy explanation to what common sense would only chose to dispose of, but it’s not politically correct to appeal to common sense in the world of this kind of conceptual crap, at the risk of sounding like some reactionary who has completely missed the plot.

What you can watch below is one of the many examples. One wonders if the artist is a clever fuck who is really laughing her head off at the undivided attention of her audience, or if she really believes in the value of her creation. The latter is of course the worrying case. The applause of the audience is only a minimal proof of what has gone wrong in this time and age, but quite an eloquent one nevertheless.
